Center Parcs, near Warminster, has applied for permission to extend the patios on more than a hundred lodges and cut down 21 trees, according to a planning application made to Wiltshire Council. The proposals are intended to “improve the external spaces for the holiday lodges,” with the increased size of the patios to make the outdoor areas more appealing. The new outdoor spaces would also enable the lodges to have a three metre by three metre pergola added, providing cover. While the plans have applied for the removal of 21 trees, planning documents say the park will adjust the design of the patios during construction as it is hoping to be able to retain the trees. A decision on the application is expected by December 31.
