The woman was hit by a private hire vehicle at around 4.30pm in Winterthur Road yesterday, Wednesday, October 1. Emergency services attended the scene and the woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries. A spokesperson for Hampshire constabulary said: "We received a report of road traffic collision, involving a private hire vehicle and pedestrian, on Winterthur Way at approximately 4.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 1 October). The pedestrian, a woman in her 60s, suffered injuries as a result of the collision and was taken to hospital for follow-up assessment and treatment. "Anyone who witnessed anything of the collision, or who has any footage of it, should call 101 and quote incident number 44250444655."
