['Emma Holden']
RailAdvent
A six-day closure is planned for a busy section of the Metro line to allow for track work to take place.
From the 26th of October until the 31st of October, the work will take place between Benton and Wallsend, with the route reopening on the 1st of November.
This renewal work is part of the Metro Asset Renewal Programme, which aims to modernise parts of the Metro infrastructure.
During the closure, they will also carry out other maintenance, landscape management and station repairs at Whitley Bay and Tynemouth.
The number 900 will operate from Four Lane Ends Interchange to Wallsend and will stop near or at all Metro stations.
