The former late-night host, who is currently producing a new season of his Netflix interview series My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, moderated a taped interview with Adam Sandler this week at New York University. Students had been told that Letterman would interview a “surprise star guest” who was an NYU alum. Inside the taping, Letterman’s guest was revealed to be Sandler, who graduated from the acting program at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 1988. According to attendees, Letterman’s conversation with Sandler touched on the actor’s time at NYU and living on campus.
