Manitoba RCMP say a 27-year-old man has been charged following a single-vehicle collision south of Westbourne — just over 100 km west of Winnipeg.
Mounties responded to a report of a rollover collision just off Highway 16 around 7:15 a.m. on Oct. 1.
When officers arrived, they found a heavily damaged vehicle sitting in a ditch.
The driver of the vehicle — a 27-year-old man — from the RM of Woodlands, was declared dead at the scene.
It is believed that the vehicle was being driven at high speeds northbound on Highway 16, when it entered the ditch at a curve in the road.
