IFN StaffA Boone man faces a felony larceny charge in connection with the theft of merchandise from a Food Lion store near Statesville. Store employees informed deputies that a male suspect had stolen over $1,000 worth of merchandise and left the premises without paying, according to the news release. Deputies were unable to locate the suspect at that time, and the case was assigned to Detective Creasy for follow up. Peek was identified as the suspect, and Detective Creasy obtained a warrant for his arrest. He was transported to the Davie County Detention Center, where he was issued a $2,500 secured bond by Magistrate P.T.
