Calgary Flames head coach Ryan Huska signed a two-year contract extension on Thursday. Financial terms were not disclosed by the Flames on Huska, who was entering the final year of his current deal. The Flames, however, lost a tiebreaker to the St. Louis Blues and missed the playoffs for the third straight season. “We believe in his vision and are confident he’s the right coach to lead us forward.”Huska, 50, has been within the Flames’ organization since 2014-15, including serving as a head coach in the American Hockey League before becoming an assistant coach in Calgary. We are committed to pushing forward and bringing success back to Calgary.”The Flames open the 2025-26 regular season at Edmonton next Wednesday.
