In the decade that recreational marijuana has been legal for Oregon adults, entrepreneurs have needed a license from the state to operate a dispensary.
No longer able to buy one straight from the state, an entrepreneur now has to go to the secondary market in order to secure a dispensary license.
According to a couple of folks in the industry, that can now cost about $100,000 — or more.
Tina Kotek recently about the state of the Oregon marijuana industry, now a decade into legalization.
“That high cost of a license might be a red flag that we have to look at some stuff.”
