Less than 24 hours after announcing six layoffs, UL Interim President Jaimie Hebert asked UL faculty and staff, packed in a campus theater, for trust. He acknowledged that more layoffs will come, asking faculty for assistance in reducing costs and sourcing ideas to boost revenue, to limit the extent of those cuts. “We need your help,” Hebert said to the room full of anxious UL employees. “Some of you will offer us that trust right off.
