A Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed a suit filed against President Bola Tinubu over the suspension of Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara and members of the state House of Assembly.
The suspension, which lasted for six months, followed the declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State on March 18 and ended on September 18.
During this period, President Tinubu appointed a sole administrator to run the state.
Five indigenes of Rivers State, led by Belema Briggs, took the matter to court, asking for the suspension to be declared unlawful.
The court further noted that no authorization from the Attorney General of Rivers State was presented to allow them to file the case.
