Devon Sawa in CHUCKY (Credit: Syfy)Scream king Devon Sawa (Final Destination, Chucky, Heart Eyes) has joined the upcoming Return of the Living Dead sequel from director Steve Wolsh, where he'll play the the role of Isaac Horton alongside new castmembers Casimere “Cash” Jollette (Tiny Pretty Things) and Kynlee Heiman (The Best Christmas Pageant Ever). As previously reported earlier this year, Wolsh's Return of the Living Dead is a brand new film honoring the legacy of the now forty-year-old horror comedy directed by Dan O’Bannon. The original Return of the Living Dead celebrates its fortieth anniversary this year, having hit theaters in 1985, almost twenty years after John Russo co-wrote the iconic Night of the Living Dead. Separate from director George A. Romero’s own follow-ups to the film, Return of the Living Dead spawned four sequels (including two direct-to-TV features) and created a legacy of its own.
