In celebration of Vicksburg’s 200th anniversary, residents and visitors are invited to the Bicentennial Fall Family Fair, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 4. The free event will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Key City Park, 255 Fisher Ferry Road. Highlights of the fair include a pumpkin patch, obstacle courses, carnival games, live music, a vendor fair, face painting, a cartoonist, cornhole, and a friendly kickball showdown between the Vicksburg Fire Department and the Vicksburg Police Department, Vicksburg Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director Laura Beth Strickland said. “Guests can also enjoy the amenities of Key City Park, including the playground, mini golf, and restaurants,” she said.
