The White House is backing him, with deputy press secretary Anna Kelly saying the strike was about protecting “vital U.S. interests” from terrorists. Problem is, they haven’t shown receipts—nobody’s seen proof the boat’s crew were Tren de Aragua or that their drugs were U.S.-bound. He’s also pushing back hard, saying Tren de Aragua got smashed in a 2023 prison raid and citing U.N. stats that only a sliver of Colombia’s cocaine goes through Venezuela.
