The Pakistan Air Force held a mournful ceremony at all of its bases across the country to remember the martyrs. The day began with special prayers and Quran Khawani for the martyrs of the wars of 1965 and 1971 as well as for everyone who has died in the line of duty since Pakistan was founded.Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force was the Chief Guest at a central Martyrs Day Ceremony at Air Headquarters Islamabad.The Air Chief talked about the rich history of sacrifice bravery and professionalism that the PAF is known for. He said that Martyrs Day is a day to honor the Armed Forces of Pakistan for their incredible bravery professionalism and willingness to give their lives for their country. He further said that the Pakistan Air Force is fully aware of how quickly security situations can change and is dedicated to its task with a single mindedness of purpose. On this sad day we honor those who gave their lives to protect our country.
