Commuters forced to evacuate busy London station at rush hour due to 'emergency'

Commuters were forced to evacuate from Westminster station at around 5.30pm today (October 2).
Transport for London announced the closure after photos and videos of commuters leaving the station were shared on social media.
Chaos around Westminster this evening: The roads are blocked by a large pro-Palestine demonstration, and the tube station is being evacuated ‘due to reports of an emergency’.

An announcement can be heard over speakers inside the station saying: “Due to a reported emergency, would all passengers leave the station immediately please.”We have contacted British Transport Police for further information.
