EATONTON, Ga. – An Eatonton man remains jailed after a trooper with the Georgia State Patrol arrested him on traffic charges and discovered he was wanted on human trafficking charges. Putnam County Sheriff Howard R. Sills identified the man as 21-year-old Francis Alexander Sagastume Garcia of the 300 block of North Maple Avenue. The sheriff said Garcia was stopped by a state trooper for driving under the influence and having no taillights on the vehicle he was driving. When the suspect’s name was entered through the National Crime Information Center (NCIC), it was learned that Garcia was wanted on a felony warrant for human trafficking involving a 16-year-old girl who at one time was living in Eatonton. “I think that’s the work of the Lord; I actually believe things like that.”Garcia is currently being held without bond in the Putnam County Jail in Eatonton.
