Kayla Brownlow is one of two candidates seeking the District 6 seat on Milledgeville City Council in the Nov. 4 election. She previously worked as an employee relations specialist and generalist in human resources at Georgia College & State University. “I’m running for Milledgeville City Council because I believe in the power of community and the responsibility we all share in shaping the place we call home,” Brownlow said. She said seeking public office was something she had had her eyes on for a while. “When I was at Georgia College, I participated in Leadership Georgia College, which then led to Leadership Baldwin.
