A Milledgeville woman is sitting in the Fulton County Jail accused of murdering her 7-year-old son in a vehicle parked outside an Atlanta residence. The warrants charge the suspect with one count of second degree murder and one count of second degree cruelty to children. The charges are related to the death of her son, Mazi Simmons, on April 6, 2025. A medical examiner with the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled Simmons’ death as accidental by strangulation. A brief press release issued by the Atlanta Police Department indicated Grace had been detained earlier by authorities in Baldwin County.
