Fire officials say dozens of animals were found inside a house that caught on fire and left two residents displaced near Woodstock Wednesday evening. The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded around 7:40 p.m. Wednesday to the 13300 block of Davis Road in unincorporated Woodstock for a report of a residential structure fire. Woodstock Fire/Rescue District Public Information Officer Alex Vucha said crews were still responding when they received additional information reporting the kitchen was on fire. Smoke damage was present throughout the house despite the fire being contained to the kitchen, Vucha said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District.
