Young people in danger of drifting into crime are being offered a lifeline through a new football-led mentoring programme that is already making waves. ‌Exeter City Community Trust, the partner charity of Exeter City Football Club, has launched Change Our Path (COP) – an initiative for 11 to 18-year-olds who are disengaged from education or at risk of youth offending. Ilmari Niskanen, Finnish international and Exeter City first-team player, said: “Being part of this programme is something I take very seriously. Alongside Exeter City, Plymouth Argyle is also delivering a similar project, partly supported by the commissioner’s office.
