Building the Bay, the community-led initiative driving regeneration across Sandown, Lake, and Shanklin, is proud to announce the launch of the Bay Visions: Outdoor Mural Commissions. This exciting new programme will award nine grants of £1,000 each to support the creation of painted murals across the Bay Area. Artists are invited to submit mural designs that reflect the Bay’s past, present, and future, with a strong emphasis on inclusion, diversity, and our ecological future. Funded by Sandown, Lake, and Shanklin Councils, this initiative forms part of the Bay Area Place Plan launched in January 2024, which is dedicated to uniting the three towns through culture, community, and regeneration.
