Tensions between three councillors reached boiling point over the last two days, with one calling another a “fascist pig” and labelling Reform UK as “racist”. It then escalated into a confrontation last night (Wednesday, 1st October), leading to chair Ian Dore crashing down his gavel and suspending the full council meeting on Hampshire and Solent devolution. Cllr Brodie continued,“Cllr Gladwin has, like a lot of members of this council, a number of rental properties. And this is typical of Cllr Brodie who is harassing and bullying me regarding this – I am under threat. Cllr Brodie called Cllr Adams a “fascist pig”, accusing him of making “threats across the room” at him.
