Police operatives in Anambra have detained a suspected member of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) over alleged extortion and terrorism in the Ihiala Local Government Area of the state. The 62-year-old male suspect was also an IPOB informant and in charge of an extortion network operating in the area. He said police operatives attached to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Awkuzu, arrested the suspect on Wednesday. “The suspect is in custody and further investigation is ongoing,” the spokesman stated.
