There will be no traffic between Orchard Street and Oxford Circus as part of the This is Oxford Street event on Sunday (September 21). Mr Eastwood said: "The move to pedestrianise Oxford Street is exactly the kind of bold, forward-looking decision London needs. London Mayor Sadiq Khan recently confirmed that nearly a mile of Oxford Street will be pedestrianised. The scheme will stretch from Orchard Street near Marble Arch to Great Portland Street near Oxford Circus. "Residents are pretty much unanimously against the Mayor’s plans."
