Pierce County Executive Ryan Mello signed two directives today that aim to reduce barriers in hiring and make County information easier for residents to find and understand.
Both directives support Pierce County’s new “Welcoming Workplace Culture and Conduct” effort.
Create a culture where all employees feel proud to work for the County and supported to do their best work.
“Our Welcoming Workplace effort is about making sure every employee feels supported and every customer or client feels respected,” Mello said.
The Welcoming Workplace effort builds on recent efforts to expand public employment and volunteer opportunities to more people.
