News ReleaseNAPPANEE — An Indianapolis man was arrested after allegedly using a weapon to batter law enforcement in Marshall County. When more officers arrived and attempted to approach him, Lian resisted and began to batter officers with an unspecified deadly weapon. Utilizing the K-9 patrol vehicle’s remote door opener, the K-9 deputy first on the scene deployed K-9 Diesel utilizing the K-9 patrol vehicle’s remote door opener. K-9 Diesel assisted in apprehending Lian, who continued to resist arrest while being apprehended but was ultimately taken into custody without further incident. Bremen EMS arrived on the scene and transported Lian to Bremen Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.
