And now motorists are being warned the Britannia Bridge could be shut to some traffic, with only cars and "car derived vans" being allowed to cross, for three hours tomorrow evening (Friday). Met Office weather maps show wind gusts will be at their strongest on Friday night at 10pm, with 60mph wind around the Holyhead and Amlwch areas. Wind speeds at this time will be less in the east, with gusts of 39mph around Wrexham. A Met Office forecast said: "Storm Amy is expected to bring a spell of strong winds to many parts of northern and western Britain later on Friday and overnight into Saturday.
