More infoA scooter rider was driving at an "extraordinary" 60mph in a 20mph zone when he collided with a pedestrian sending her "flying ten feet" into the air and leaving her in agony.
Prosecutor Dafydd Roberts told Mold Crown Court Ms Jones had been shopping and was travelling home on a bus.
Other injuries included a fracture of the floor of her right eye socket resulting in bony fragments sinking into her upper jawbone, the court heard.
Her right eye was "bulging forward slightly."
She had double vision in her right eye for eight weeks and took three weeks off work.
