The alert came from North West Ambulance Service at 11.23am, with the individual described as conscious but pale and in need of urgent assistance. With team numbers reduced following a busy weekend of callouts, Patterdale’s duty leader quickly requested support from Penrith Mountain Rescue Team. In total, six members from Patterdale and five from Penrith attended the incident, which lasted around four hours. The walker was then placed in a stretcher and carefully lowered from the fell using a technical rope system. This marks the seventh callout in just six days for the Patterdale team, highlighting their tireless efforts to support those in difficulty on the fells.
