This is in response to news that the Whitehaven Harbour Commissioners will be removing flags that were put on the harbourside last week. The Whitehaven Harbour Commissioners have said that the harbour is a Trust Port established by statute and is owned by the commissioners. The Harbour Commissioners are ultimately responsible to the Department for Transport for their operation of the Harbour.
