Police have arrested a man in connection with a burglary at T.M. Barber Jewellers on Newport High Street earlier this month. The incident happened at around 9.40am on Thursday 11 September, when a gold chain was stolen after being shown to a member of staff. Following an appeal for witnesses, a 36-year-old man from Newport has now been arrested on suspicion of theft. He remains in custody at this time.
