The farmers, seen as pioneers of change in potato cultivation, are from the growing regions in north Gujarat. HyFarm will tap the Paathshala route to collaborate with 30,000 farmers and procure one million tonnes of potatoes by 2028-29, a company statement said. The company is currently engaged in contract farming with approximately 7,500 potato farmers in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, who cultivate the crop on over 30,000 acres and produce more than four lakh tonnes of potatoes. HyFarm recently hosted its first-ever "HyFarm Paathshala Convocation Ceremony" and presented certificates to farmers who had been trained under this initiative. These graduated Paathshala Farmers now return to their villages as ambassadors of modern farming, showing how small changes can spark big transformations.
