HERMISTON — Hermiston City Councilor Jackie Linton social media posts in the wake of the shooting death of political and Christian activist Charlie Kirk drew the ire of dozens of Hermiston citizens, but only one person showed up at the city council meeting Monday, Sept. 22, to voice his displeasure. “If you try to employ the Hermiston Police Department to keep a citizen from showing up to a city council meeting, it seems wrong,” he said. “He kept saying three or four times that he would see me at the meeting,” Linton said. “These statements are deeply inappropriate, disrespectful, and inconsistent with the ethical standards expected of city employees,” Goodheart wrote. I expect you to take action, or the people of Hermiston will.”Goodheart was not present at the council meeting.
