Maintenance work closes Ainslie Street in Cambridge

The City of Cambridge has warned drivers heading through Galt of a significant closure, rolled out on Ainslie Street North.
That work, said to be for water system maintenance, began on Wednesday night and has since closed Ainslie Street North from Water Street North right through to Concession Street.
Drivers heading through the area on Thursday morning are encouraged to use nearby Water Street to detour around that stretch.
It’s worth nothing that Ainslie Street North remains open to businesses and residences, while pedestrian traffic can still get around that work zone.
City staff have indicated that work should be wrapped up midday on Thursday, while the Region of Waterloo’s road work posting for the item expects it to be cleared by noon.
