So as a major servicer of Essex residents and passengers from outside the area, I’ve always wanted to see what it’s like to go behind the scenes at the airport. As passenger, no matter what time you go, it’s always a bustling centre full of people from all walks of life and from my experiences as a passenger, Stansted Airport offers a smooth journey to your onward destination. But I, like many, don’t fully understand or even know what goes on behind the scenes to ensure the airport runs like clockwork. Over the coming weeks, you’ll read about going into the eyes and ears of the airport, the security control centre, where I learned how it operates.
