Electronic dance music festival Sunburn might be shifting from Goa to Mumbai for its 2025 instalment, but it’s far from scaling down.
Next year, it will host its first full-scale international edition in Abu Dhabi, which will be held simultaneously as the flagship in India, over the same weekend in December 2026.
It won’t be the first time Sunburn has been held outside India, as single-day events have taken place in Colombo, Kathmandu, Dubai, Muscat and Melbourne over the years.
The staging of Sunburn Abu Dhabi marks the commencement of a collaboration between BookMyShow—which took over the Sunburn IP in 2019—and Ethara, the UAE-based live events and venue management company.
Ethara, which was formed out of a merger between Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management and Flash Entertainment, organises the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and its after-race concerts.
