In Morocco, the Clima-Med project activities have consistently received support at both the national level from the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development (Focal Point), and at the local level from the Moroccan Association of Municipal Council Presidents (AMPCC) and the beneficiary municipalities, all of which have shown remarkable commitment and efficiency.
After seven years of implementation, the Project held its final event in Morocco on September 18 in Chefchaouen, the enchanting “Blue pearl”.
The discussions provided valuable lessons learned and recommendations, supported by the AMPCC, which reaffirmed its commitment to leading and guiding Moroccan municipalities in climate planning.
Participants also suggested ways to institutionalise the SEACAP Support Mechanism and identified key institutions to engage in this effort.
Clima-Med is set to conclude in early November 2025, leaving behind significant recognition, challenges to tackle, and valuable tools available to local and national authorities.
