Two people were injured early Thursday in a crash involving a deer on Highway 136 west of Stanberry. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident happened at 1:47 a.m. Thursday, two miles west of Stanberry in Gentry County. The Buick came to rest in the middle of the roadway on its wheels, facing west. The driver from Maryville and an 18-year-old woman from Saint Joseph, who was a passenger in the car, were transported by Grand River Ambulance to Mosaic Life Care of Saint Joseph. The highway patrol reported neither the driver nor the passenger was wearing a seat belt.
