Deciphex, a Dublin-based medtech specialising in AI-powered digital pathology, has raised €15m in venture debt funding from Claret Capital Partners to accelerate its expansion into the US. ‘Diagnexia’ connects global subspecialty pathologists for rapid diagnostics and backlog reduction, and ‘Patholytix’ accelerates drug development through optimised preclinical safety assessments. The venture debt will also help Deciphex achieve its aim to become the leading provider of histopathology reporting services in the UK by 2027, the company said. “This extended relationship with Claret Capital Partners provides us with the capital to execute on our most ambitious growth plans,” said Donal O’Shea, the founder and CEO of Deciphex. In 2023, it was named Medtech Company of the Year by the Irish Medtech Association, the Ibec group that represents the sector.
