The National Democratic Party (NDP) is mourning the death of its national chairperson, Sario Masiye, who died on Wednesday at her home at Katima Mulilo. Masiye joined the NDP in 2023 and was elected national chairperson at the party’s national congress. At the time of her death, Masiye was on the NDP’s Katima Mulilo Town Council local authority list. She leaves behind a huge gap in our national leadership structure and will be deeply missed during the NDP’s campaigns, meetings, and events,” the statement notes.
