Emergency services were called to High Street, Abertridwr, just after 6.30pm on Wednesday, October 1. Officers from Gwent Police attended, supported by South Wales Fire and Rescue Service. The driver of the car sustained minor injuries. The road was closed for a period to allow the vehicle to be recovered and for the council to clear the debris. A 65-year-old man from Caerphilly was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drink.
