Councils in Nottinghamshire have clashed over the publication of a public survey on local government reorganisation. The Conservative leader of Rushcliffe BC and Reform UK leader of Nottinghamshire CC have “dismissed” a public consultation on LGR, which showed 30% of the 11,000 respondents agreed with government plans. In a joint statement, they said: “The councils who chose to make this report public prematurely are letting local people down. It said: “The majority of councils asked that the results from the independent report were published, in the interest of being open and transparent. On seeing the independent report, Nottinghamshire CC and Rushcliffe BC, did not want it to be shared.
