Amazon is gearing up for the holiday shopping season by hiring more than 7,000 seasonal workers across Canada. Amazon has also raised its average hourly base pay for eligible Canadian frontline employees to $24.50—a 4.3% increase over last year’s $23.50. “At Amazon, we’re committed to creating a workplace where employees feel valued and have opportunities to grow,” said Chuck Cummings, Director of Customer Fulfilment, Amazon Canada, in a statement to iPhone in Canada. By the end of 2025, eligible frontline employees will receive a free Amazon Prime membership after 90 days on the job. The perk will include fast and free shipping, access to Prime Day and other sales, Prime Video, Amazon Music, Prime Reading, Prime Gaming, and unlimited photo storage.
