CORK CITY - A woman in her 20s has died following a collision between a truck and a bicycle in Cork city. The fatal incident occurred at approximately 6:15pm on Thursday night at the junction of Albert Street and Albert Road, Cork city. Emergency services responded to the scene, but the woman cyclist was pronounced dead a short time later. Her body has been removed to the morgue at Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem examination is set to be conducted. In the aftermath of the collision, the road remained closed to allow for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
