Effective from 17 June, Great Eastern (GE) has temporarily suspended issuing pre-authorisation certificates for its Integrated Shield Plan (IP) policyholders admitted to Mount Elizabeth hospitals. According to the insurer, this step is part of its efforts to manage rising healthcare costs and keep coverage affordable in the long term.
