Thursday 2 October , 2025 {HMC} Somalia’s Minister of Communications and Technology, Mohamed Adan Moalim, represented the nation at the 2nd meeting of the Arab Cybersecurity Ministers’ Council in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The conference brought together ministers and senior officials from Arab League member states to discuss and strengthen cooperation in digital security.
During the meeting, Minister Mohamed delivered a compelling speech that emphasized the urgent need for a unified Arab front against the growing threat of cybercrime.
He noted that Somalia has recently recognized internet security as a national security threat, a move that highlights the country’s dedication to developing a resilient system for cyber defense.
Minister Mohamed concluded by affirming Somalia’s full support for the council’s decisions and its readiness to work with its regional partners to build a secure and innovative digital future.
