A former doctor at UPMC Children’s Hospital was sentenced in federal court after being charged a year ago. 54-year-old Ashok Panigrahy was charged in September of 2024 for being in possession of child sex abuse material. Panigrahy was the radiologist-in-chief for Children’s Hospital. This week he was sentenced to 48 months of imprisonment, 10 years, of supervised release, and pay $57,000 in fines and restitution.
