I can find no actual record of it, but I believe the Kaman H-43 Huskie was designed at the breakfast table. Designed primarily for close-in firefighting and rescue duties at military bases, the Huskie was occasionally used for short-range search-and-rescue missions during the Vietnam War. The last Huskie flying in military colors belongs to Brian Reynolds, president and owner of Northwest Helicopters LLC in Olympia, Washington. In 1998, he founded the Olympic Flight Museum, and some of his helicopters rotate through the display hangar.
