NSCDC intercepts truck with telecom mast, 7 illegal miners in Niger

From Yakubu Mustapha MinnaThe Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Niger State command has intercepted a truck loaded with telecommunication mast worth millions of naira and a Sharon vehicle carrying mining products.
The State Commandant, Suberu Siyaka Aniviye disclosed this while parading the suspects at the state headquarters of the command in Minna.
He said that the NSCDC anti-vandal team was deployed to arrest two suspects along Tafa-Suleja axis following an intelligence information.
In the same vein, the command has arrested a mining team of seven suspects all male who were involved in illegal mining activities at Kataeregi along Bida road with a Sharon vehicle carrying the products.
The commandant vowed to make Niger state uncomfortable for vandals, illegal miners and other criminals, assuring to work closely with other security agencies to ensure a crime free society.
