MECOSTA COUNTY, MI – A driver was killed Wednesday, Oct. 1, in a fiery crash south of Big Rapids. The crash was reported at 11:11 a.m. on Northland Drive, south of 12 Mile Road in Mecosta County, according to Mecosta County sheriff’s deputies. Multiple callers reported the crash. Police asked anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the vehicle prior to the crash to contact investigators at 231-592-0150 or through a tip email at tips@mecostasheriff.org. Mecosta Township and Big Rapids firefighters and Mecosta County Victim’s Services Unit assisted sheriff’s deputies.
